May is Lupus Awareness Month. Gamma Kappa Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated wants to do its part to Make Lupus Visual. Join us on Tuesday May 31, 2022 at 7:08pm as we unlock the mystery of lupus during The Butterfly Effect L.U.P.U.S Forum. You will learn about what lupus is, the signs, symptoms, treatments and the daily impact on Lupus Warriors' lives. The keynote speaker is Dr. Kimberly Trotter, Assistant Professor of Medicine in Rheumatology at The University of Chicago and Co-Director of the Lupus Clinic.

ABOUT THE SPEAKER:

Kimberly Trotter, MD, is a rheumatologist who sees patients for a range of common and specialized reasons at the University of Chicago Medicine in Chicago, IL. Dr. Trotter is an expert in lupus, specializing in risk factors for developing lupus and treatments for lupus. She also cares for rheumatoid arthritis, psoriatic arthritis and osteoarthritis, and she is available for arthritis consultations.

Dr. Trotter is board certified in both internal medicine and rheumatology. She has a comprehensive approach to patient care and carefully considers all aspects of her patient’s health in the interest of properly diagnosing and treating them.

Dr. Kimberly Trotter is an alumni of the University of Maryland, where she received her medical degree. She completed her residency in internal medicine and fellowships in rheumatology at the University of Chicago.
